Delhi

So much honking!  I will say this appears like it’s angry honking but it’s not. It’s not like in the US.


Since we rested at the hotel and traffic was a bear we were limited on things to do in a reasonable timeframe before attractions started closing.


We first went to Qutub Minar. The pillar was neat as parakeets flew around it, chattering away. On the beautiful landscaped grounds were little squirrels (looking nothing like ours), chirping. A very peaceful place.


Our next stop was the tomb of where Mahatma Gandhi was laid to rest. You had to remove your footwear before you could walk to the courtyard where he was laid to rest.


We got back around 8pm and I was ready for bed.


So far this journey has been tough. Yes, I am with Nisha and not by myself but I’m not with my family and I miss them like crazy.  I might of cried for a bit as homesickness set in.
